●     1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt

●     2-2 1/4 teaspoons of active yeast (dry)

●     1-2 cups of lukewarm milk

●     2-3 eggs kept at room temperature

●     1-2 cups of melted butter (unsalted)

Instructions:

  1. Always activate the yeast before mixing it into the mixture of flour and prepare a dough with a fluffy nature.

  2. Always knead the dough of flour, yeast, and other ingredients until it turns smooth and soft.

  3. Always keep the dough covered with a plastic sheet, muslin, or cotton cloth for a set time to double its size for almost an hour or two.

 Steps:

  1. Dough Preparation: Mix the flour, salt, sugar, and activated yeast in the large bowl. To it add whisked eggs, and melted butter. Soften the mixture into a dough.

  2. Knead & Rise: Once everything is mixed, knead the dough for 10 minutes until it turns even and cover it with a cloth, resting it aside for 2 hours in a warm room, till its size doubles.

  3. Shape & Rise: Now thicken the dough on a floured-flat surface, punch down the extra air, and cut out the different shapes of dough as per your choice. Now keep it aside for the next 50 minutes for a second rise to give a texture and fluffiness to the donuts.

  4. Frying: Lower down the donuts one by one in the hot pan, without overcrowding, and fry them for 1-2 minutes on high flame until their color changes to light brown. Remove and place in a towel tray to drain out excess oil.

  5. Dipping: Now dip the fried donuts in the made sauce of chocolate, maple syrup, and caramel and top it to decorate using sprinkles, choco chips, or cut and fried almonds too.
